An atypical mommy…
I am passionate about my family and everything that entails. That makes me an advocate for the linguistic underdog, a champion for autism, and a cheerleader for flexibility. And so, I am an educator too, because aside from my profession, that’s who good mommies are: teachers. I am fairly straight-forward and uncomplicated. I write from the heart. I started this blog with 3 intentions. 1. To contribute to the autism community by sharing my unique ponderings and experiences. 2. To document my son’s journey with autism. 3. To release pent-up emotions and feelings in a healthy manner, and perhaps find myself in the process. This endeavor is very much a journey of self-discovery and innovation.

We have a mutual friend Marsha Scott and she showed me your blog. I also have a son with autism and can relate to your stories. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
It is positively my pleasure. Marsha is a great gal. We go way back. According to her, she is my #1 lurker. LOL. Each child with autism is so different, but I often find commonalities in others’ sharing. I hope that you enjoy my writing. Perhaps you’ll see something in my sharing. Thank you for walking along the journey with me.

Hi there,
Love the blog!
Just wanted to make your aware of a video that my son Z wanted to make to talk about his experience with Aspergers and raise autism awareness. He is so excited to be on the internet! I hope you like it. If you are interested in sharing it that would be much appreciated!
